Colico: designer chairs and tables

More than a century has passed since the birth of Colico in Brianza. A family business that was born with Andrea Colico and his passion for chairs and which today has become a point of reference in the interior and exterior furniture sector. From 1920 up to today, many steps have been taken, such as the relocation of part of the production to Varedo, on the outskirts of Milan in the 1950s. The following decades were years of growth, of increasing market attention to the world of furniture, of opening a new office in Friuli. Years of turning point, with the participation in 1970 for the first time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and for another 50 years then. In the 80s the doors of the family business opened to design and a new company started in 1982: it is Colico Design, which directs production towards an international market through the research for different inspirational lines, new technologies and always attentive to sustainable production processes. The 90s are years of experimentation of the color that appears in the collections and then arrived 2000 with Colico tables and chairs that also begin to enter the television lounges. The company reaches the present day, between returns to its origins and the desire to look forward, always with the wish and enthusiasm to get involved with an innovative and unusual design.

Colico furniture is synonymous with elegance, style, comfort and quality. Chairs, tables, stools, garden beds are just a part of a production that is renowned all over the world. This is also thanks to the precious collaboration of international designers such as Fausto Di Martino who, with his Joker and Geo products, selected for the Joung & Design Competition, has given further visibility and prestige to the brand.
