The Primitive bookcase is one of the most original and iconic products designed by Studio Nucleo, a collective of designers known for their experimental approach, aimed at researching materials and their intersection with art, architecture, furniture and design.
Primitive consists of a series of simple solid geometric elements which, when combined, refer to the typical movements of the 20th century such as cubism, abstractionism, constructivism and suprematism.
The resulting product is a module with a strong sculptural impact that rises to the function of a bookcase, and can be made larger by adding a second one.
Initially made as a limited edition product, this bookcase is now industrialized by Qeeboo and re-proposed in a polyethylene version with rotational molding to make it accessible to all.
