Once upon a time there was a heater. Of course, the cast iron radiator continues to be present in homes and is a valid solution to combine energy saving and the need to warm up. Decorative radiators: the models
The radiator, like a traditional radiator, consists of collectors and radiant tubes, through which the water passes. Connected to the domestic system, it is able to heat the environment more easily by having a larger surface area than a common radiator. Among the most used types there are column radiators which, operating in a simple way, combine comfort and beauty in the rooms where they are placed. Composed of various columns, they distribute heat evenly and are suitable for large spaces with high ceilings. These tubular radiators, with a more traditional setting, have rounded elements with a classic shape and a timeless design. The plate radiators, as well as the lamellar, are cast in a single shape and have an essential and minimal design: they heat up with great speed and quickly spread the heat in the environment in which they are inserted. On these surfaces it is also possible to insert shelves or handles, for further functionality. There are also ventilated radiators that work through a fan that heats the air passing through electric or gas heat sources. The radiators are mainly made of aluminium and steel of great aesthetic impact, but also in carbon or titanium. Essentially designed for the bathroom and with a conformation such as to heat the towels, the radiator is also placed in other rooms of the house. A glass radiator, for example, particularly elegant, is suitable for the living area. Therefore, today's radiators basically have two types of operation: electric or water. The electric radiator connects to the domestic electrical system and can be programmed to switch it on or off, the hydraulic radiator instead uses a system of water heating inside the structure itself. In some cases, it is possible to choose a mixed operation that includes both the water system and the electric system. Finally, in addition to the principle of operation, a heated towel rail can also be chosen based on the colour, which varies from pastel shades to brighter tones.
